Chums

 Hey Everyone!

   Recently I have been spending time with various chums. All of which have potential to become someone influential. We'd been speaking of our college careers, majors, and our hopeful futures when a realization fell upon my friends and I. We are going to become something, we are to become someone. We have the capability to utilize our brains to give something meaningful back to our world. We all pursue careers in strictly academic fields. We understand that our walks on these paths will easily be some of the most challenging. However, we are quite frank about what we want from our lives. 


   We dreamt our dreams, now we actively pursue them. In this life, if you do not have a dream then you must discover one. Without dreams we lose motivation. We lose clear an concise thoughts about our lives. We lose morals, values, and standards. We lose hope. 


    No one is perfect, but we are good. We can pursue hopes and wishes that seem lightyears away from where we are. We must awaken our passions. We cannot dream of the dead things, done and past, especially when we have a future ahead of us. 


    Do not say that you don't have a future, a future does not have to be something marvelous. A future is simply the day after today. What you choose to do with tomorrow, now, that is your future. We are the painters of our own lives. We can change most circumstances in our lives with the right will power and skill. 


    And even if you don't achieve what you dreamt of achieving the first time around, try again. We can lay much to rest in our lives, but never our dreams. Our dreams haunt us. We see them everywhere. In the stars, the moon, the sun, a test, even the bathroom wall. 


    Dreams can become reality, if you grow them correctly. It is like growing a fruit tree: plow the ground, plant the seed, water and feed it, provide the right amount of shade and sunlight, let it grow in peace. Within time, a beautiful apple tree will have grown from the seed. A Natural Beauty. Picture your dream as the apple seed, now you are growing it. Don't ever allow that seed to die. Allow your dreams to assist in guiding your life. There is much to be achieved.
